Numbers 7: Daily Death

I tend to write a hymn-inspired poem after my daily Bible reading. In general, I will pray before I read, then read the text ( usually two to four times) and conclude with deliberate meditation on it. Specifically, I seek to find/discover an attribute of God and a Christological emphasis. For example, today my reading was from Numbers chapter 7 on the 12 leaders of Israel of their dedication to the anointed tabernacle. All in all, it was a straight-forward but the Old Testament is a gold mine if searched. Therefore, today I saw Christ fulfilling the text in so many ways (the Lamb, sin offering, our peace with God- peace offering, our Leader, and His death being the motivation for our daily dying etc.). Christ's life, person, and work are the foundations by which daily dying is joy. I attached my written hymnal poem to this blog. I pray it encourages the saints to be joyful in daily dying to our needs and wants. May the word of Christ dwell in us richly (Col 3:16). The need for daily singing and writing new songs to the Lord because of the freshness of His presence and the sufficiency of His word (Ps 33:3; 40:3; 96:1; 98:1; 144:9; 149:1)
